Curtis Design Group is growing and looking for an architectural project manager with excellent leadership and managerial skills to help with expansion into new markets. CDG currently designs more than 250 homes per year in Utah Valley and our newest designer would be responsible for directing drafting and design teams. This project manager would also oversee creating new designs and product, as well as implement procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy when working with existing production home builders.
The ideal candidate will have had plenty of experience in architectural design, particularly production and semi-custom design. Custom design experience is also a plus. CDG prides itself on offering the best, most innovative designs in a large-scale development environment, and expects the right candidate to see the vision and bring their own experience and enthusiasm to the position.
5+ years of architectural design experience, production builder experience preferred.
Architectural designer or licensed architect.
Related BA degree preferred but not necessary with appropriate experience and expertise.
Extensive AutoCAD experience
Experience with Revit highly preferred.
Excellent team management skills with proven history of leading drafting and design teams.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Extensive knowledge of the construction industry and production builders.
Polished, professional, and people-oriented.
Experience in presenting and strategizing with clients and builders.
Comfortable commuting to Salt Lake Valley, with initial training and occasional meetings in our Spanish Fork office.
Meeting with clients to create new product and generate base plans for existing designs.
Implementing procedures to ensure construction documents are accurate and delivered on a specified timeline.
Meeting regularly with CDG management to discuss new designs and procedural changes.
Managing administrative and design teams.
